Junior & Olita
Junior Carvalho (Brazil - Germany) is well-known Brazilian dancer and an extremely charismatic teacher, who inspires and challenges his course participants! He is known for his outstanding didactical talent and his ability to create an exceptional positive energy on his workshops! During his courses Junior teaches more than just the techniques, steps and figures, he also gives a sense for the music and the joy of rhythms to his students!
Junior comes from Belém, located in the Northeast of Brazil and dances since the age of 17 among others Zouk, Tango Argentino, Samba de Gafieira, Salsa, Forró, Calypso, Bolero, Swing and many more. He completed his training with the most recognized partner dance teachers in Brazil and founded his own dance school and stage company. After teaching and choreographing in many cities in Brazil, he was invited to take part in European festivals. Later on he was invited to relocate and establishe Brazilian dances in Germany (Bremen, Hamburg, Hanover).
With a lot of enthusiasm and engagement Junior leads the first Zouk and Samba de Gafieira community in Germany. He is the founder of "Conexão Dance Festival" in Bremen, one of the most important festival for Brazilian dances in Germany.
Additionally, he regularly offers his workshops at dance festivals in the South of Germany and on the island of Crete, since 2010 he is invited to give his regular workshops in Japan.
Already as a child , Olita was a member of a dancing group in Russia. 16 years ago she came to Germany and heard 2012 for the first time about Zouk. From the first
moment she knew that this dance would become her greatest passion, which she after that has not only proved but also strengthened. She is confronted with Zouk very intensively and studied it the most at Junior Carvalho.
She also visited a lot of International Congresses and expanded her abilities with international known Zouk-teachers. Olita belongs to the Junior Carvalho’s team. She conveys through her naturally feminine personality that she dances with every part of her body and also encourages students.
